Click on the "Register" button, fill out the registration form with your personal and medical information. After registration, you need to be verified by our admin team (must be 18+ years old) to become an active donor.
Yes, registration on BloodOra is completely free. We are a non-profit platform dedicated to saving lives.
Blood Donation
Generally, healthy individuals aged 18-65 years, weighing at least 50 kg (110 lbs), with hemoglobin levels of at least 12.5 g/dL can donate blood. You must also pass a health screening.
Whole blood can be donated every 56 days (8 weeks). Platelets can be donated every 7 days, up to 24 times a year. Plasma can be donated every 28 days, up to 13 times a year.
Yes, blood donation is very safe. We use sterile, single-use needles and equipment for each donor. The donation process is supervised by trained medical professionals.
The entire process takes about 1 hour, including registration, health screening, donation (8-10 minutes), and refreshment time.
Requesting Blood
Click on "Request Blood" and fill out the form with patient details, blood group needed, hospital information, and contact details. For urgent requests, mark it as urgent to get faster responses.
No, you can request blood even without registering. However, registered users can track their requests and communicate more easily with donors.
Response time varies based on blood group availability and location. Urgent requests are prioritized and typically receive faster responses. You'll be notified when donors respond to your request.
Account & Privacy
Yes, we take privacy seriously. Your personal information is encrypted and only shared with authorized personnel when necessary for blood donation coordination.
Yes, you can update your profile information anytime by going to "My Profile" and clicking "Edit Profile".
If you're 18+ years old, you can apply for verification from your profile. Our admin team will review your application and verify your account within 24-48 hours.
Emergency
For emergencies, mark your blood request as "URGENT" and provide accurate contact information. You can also call emergency services at 999 in Bangladesh. Our system prioritizes urgent requests to get you help faster.
